Binkie and Scissors Please

As I was bathing the kids tonight I called down to Brett and asked him to bring me Tanner's binkie and a pair of scissors. His only comment to me when he got to the room: "I'm losing my baby tonight". That is because Tanner's binkie "broke" tonight (or rather we cut the top of the nipple off) and in Brett's mind the only thing keeping him a baby was his binkie. I let Brett know that it was going to be harder on him than it was going to be on Tanner and I think I was right. Yes, it was a little harder to go down tonight than normal, but we have success. . .
. . .Tanner's first binkie-less night!

Good thing it won't be long till Brett gets another! :) I've never heard of cutting off the tip! Note taken :)

Poor Brett. They can't stay babies for ever. Too bad.

Good for you! For us, it has been harder for the kids to go from crib to "big girl bed" than it was to loose the binky. Your kids are all so sweet. You have a wonderful family! You should be proud!

He is so cute - I love pictures of sleeping children! Glad the separation wasn't too painful - hope Brett survives - but he will have another binki baby soon enough!

Congrats on the upcoming addition! Wow, I'm a little late on my blogs, but that is so exciting! You guys are terrific parents and that little boy is one lucky kid to be coming to your family!

I'm right behind you. I need to do that with Brooklyn, but Chad keeps saying she is still a baby. I have to say, she is a bit of a whiner, so it is nice to plug her up sometimes! Good for you! I guess I should get serious about this and hope it goes as well for me as it has for you so far!
