Joy School

I had my first day of teaching Joy School today and boy am I tired. It is crazy how fast the time passed (2 1/2 hours) and how much energy 4 year old's have. I don't know how preschool teachers do it! I teach again on Friday and then have a break until after the baby is born. There are 5 kids in our "class" and there is always one that just doesn't want to participate or pay attention. Such is life I guess, but for the most part the kids were awesome and paid attention to what was going on. The "curriculum" we are using is pretty involved, 5 minutes to do that, 10 minutes here, and 2 minutes on this. Kind of crazy. But we are enjoying it and hope that it will help Spencer be a little more open to other adult authority. He kind of struggles with that. So anyway, that is about it, kind of boring. We are getting very anxious for our little boy to arrive, but still see no signs. Crazy with my history of preterm labor, but everyone keeps reminding me that it is a good thing. I just don't know what I will do if I do go the whole 40 weeks. Luckily I am not too uncomfortable, so I might be able to handle it. I guess we will see!

An actual full term baby? You mean you wouldn't have to dress it in premee clothes? That would be strange for you!

I didn't know that you taught school! (how often is that?) ...you've got your hands full sister. Today must have been your last day then. Bring it on, Baby- right? I hope the delivery and all goes well- just have low expectations that you will actually go over your due date and then you can be pleasantly surprised.

Hi! I was googling "Joy School" because I want to find one for my son and your blog came up. I hope you don't mind me asking - how did you find yours and how do you like it? Thanks, from one mom to another!
