My Husband!

I got "tagged" with the Husband tag and I thought what better day to do it than Valentines day. I love my husband so much! Here is a little look into our relationship.

What is his name? Brett Herman Bruschke. I know, I know. What a middle name, huh!?! And he wanted to pass that on for posterity!

How long have you been together? We have been married 5 years, but started dating 9 ½ years ago.

How long did you date? 4 1/2 years, kind of. We took a two year break while he was on his mission, but we got married 4 ½ years after our first date.

How old is he? 26, poor boy has a lot of responsibility for being only 26.

Who eats more? Definitely him.

Who said I love you first? Brett did. It took me a couple of months for me to tell it back to him. I just wanted it to be for sure before I told him.

Who's Taller? Him.

Who can sing better? We are probably both equally as bad, but somehow I can remember words better than he can, although it is amazing how he can come up with words that go with the beat and rhyme.

Who is smarter? Brett, I am sure, especially when it comes to anything technological. I used to know how to do things, but he is so much quicker at it that I always use him and I have lost whatever ability I had.

Who does the laundry? Me. Brett gets frustrated when he tries to help because I am a little particular about how things are folded.

Who pays the bills? Our computer or the internet, or however you want to say it. Everything is on auto pay, but Brett does go through and check things more often than I do.

Who sleeps on the right side? Brett does, well, that is if you are looking at our bed from the foot, if that makes sense.

Who mows the lawn? Neither of us. Who would have guessed that fake lawn could be such a blessing. We do have “real” grass in the front yard, but the association takes care of it.

Who cooks dinner? I do. That is one thing that I always try to make sure I have done when Brett walks through the door from work.

Who drives? Brett does when we are together.

Who is more stubborn? I would definitely say I am. Poor Brett is so good at putting up with me.

Who kissed who first? He kissed me, sort of. He went in for the kiss, so I kind of met him half way. He wasn’t expecting it and it scared him so he gave me a hug and drove away leaving me in the street.

Who asked who out first? I asked him out. We were having a big group date for my first date when I turned 16. You would have thought I would have waited until I got asked out. I guess I wasn’t that kind of girl. I don't know what kind of girl it makes me though?!?

Who proposed? Brett did, thank goodness. Can you imagine having to pop the question?

Who has more friends? Brett. I am so not the good friend, sorry guys!

Who is more sensitive? Probably Brett, although we both have our moments. That is one of the things I love about him, his sensitivity.

Who has more siblings? An obvious one, I do, by almost four times!

Who wears the pants? I do, although I try to make him think that he does.
Thanks Brett for all that you do for our little (ok, big) family. I couldn't ask for a more incredible husband or father for my children. Happy Valentines Day!!! I love you babe!

What a cute picture. It is still hard to believe you have four kids. You do have a big family. By the way, Spencer looks more and more like Brett everyday!
